What we will draw
Architectural plans, elevations and sections. Structural sheets from your engineering. MEP layouts from your design. Site plans. As-built documentation. Revision and resubmittal packages. Detail sheets. Redraws of scanned or hand-drawn sets.
You supply the design intent — markups, sketches, a marked-up PDF, a phone call, an old set with changes indicated. We produce the drawings.
How this is different from our other work
On drafting-only work we are your production team, not the engineer of record. The design decisions and the professional responsibility stay with you, and the set carries your seal.
We are not going to use it as a lever to sell you engineering or permit filing. If you want those, they are on the menu. If you never do, this is still a service we are glad to have.
Tell us your title block, layer standards, sheet naming and CAD conventions and we will work in them. If you would rather we use ours, that is fine too. Files come back in the format you need.
Where it gets useful
The thing most drafting-only clients end up valuing is that we file permits in these jurisdictions constantly. So when we are drawing your set and we notice that the department reviewing it always asks for a separate life safety sheet, or rejects partial sheet replacements on revisions, we will mention it.
You can ignore it — it is your set. But you get the observation for free.
Questions about this service
Do I have to use you for the engineering too?
No. That is the entire point of this service. You keep your engineer, your architect and your relationships; we draw.
Whose seal goes on the drawings?
Yours, or your engineer’s. On drafting-only work we are producing drawings to your direction and are not the engineer of record. If you want us to take engineering responsibility, that is a different engagement and we will price it as one.
What file formats do you work in?
Tell us what you need and we will match it. We can work to your title block, layer standards and sheet conventions, and deliver in the format your team uses.
Can you handle overflow on short notice?
Often, yes. Capacity varies week to week, so call before you promise a client a date and we will tell you honestly what we can take on.
How is drafting only priced?
Flat fee per set or per sheet depending on the work, quoted before we start. Ongoing arrangements with firms that send us regular work are priced differently — ask.
